About
Stuart joined the practice in August 2022 having spent the previous 4 years as a director with a central London law firm, providing advice to international high-net-worth-individuals, families, trustees and corporate service providers. Prior to this Stuart trained with a big 4 firm and medium sized practices where he qualified as a Chartered Tax Adviser. In addition, Stuart spent 10 years with an independent privately-owned wealth management business, including 4 years as part of an international Bermudan based private banking group.
Stuart understands high net worth individuals’ needs and requirements, particularly in relation to UK resident, non-UK domiciled individuals, their structuring needs and those of the wider family.
Stuart has a particular interest in Crypto assets, having advised a number of private UK resident clients on holding and disposing of intangible assets. He also advises on non-UK pensions schemes and Employer Funded Retirement Benefit Schemes (EFRBS). Having advised UK and non-UK resident, non-UK domiciled individuals on their tax affairs for many years, Stuart is well placed to advise on pre-arrival capital planning, tax compliance and trust arrangements where individuals may be beneficiaries of existing trust or company structures. Stuart advises on practical, solution-based estate planning involving personal and family investment companies and the use of life policies in trust.
Stuart lives in south west London close to Richmond Park where his school age children keep him occupied. He enjoys cycling, having competed in various long-distance events and runs regularly.
